Özet

This study focuses on changes in the mechanical properties of neat and SBS modified asphalt mixes exposure to environmental effects in a one-year period. To achieve goal, 24 core samples are collected from side of asphalt concrete pavement produced using HMA mixtures containing neat and SBS-modified bitumen for two sample types at four times of one year period in experimental study. Mechanical properties of these samples are determined via Marshall stability and flow tests. In the numerical analysis, the changes in the behavior of material are presented in terms of stresses (von Mises) obtained from analysis of finite element (FE) models by Abaqus finite element software for two model types and its results are compared with experimental results. Finally, stress-time relationships are stated by regression analysis method for the mentioned two sample types. The results of this study indicate that significant changes are determined in mechanical properties of HMA mixtures samples containing neat and SBS-modified bitumen due to environmental effects.
